CIWE on distance learning
About the course
With several guidelines, directives or with very demanding suppliers, certification of the acquired knowledge of a welding engineer is required, usually every three years. The current knowledge of those responsible for welding is, for example, mentioned in the EN 14731 standard and is the basis for quality in welding production according to EN ISO 3834 as well as for welding steel structures according to EN 1090 and the PED directive.
At the Institute of Welding, we have prepared material on innovations in regulations, technologies and materials. We shortened the material so that it is understandable and readable. The material will be renewed every year and always up-to-date. We will include all the requirements recognized by the European Welding Federation and additionally by our experts. Depending on the prior knowledge, it is possible to process the novelties in a few afternoons in peace from home or work.
We were the first in Europe and as the first member of the International Welding Institute to conduct this certification remotely. The issue is so topical that we will first be followed by a change in international harmonized rules and then institutions around the world.
Currently, CIWE is conducted in English and prepared in Slovenian (translations into other languages are being prepared).
The lectures are 25-30 pages long as distance learning. The exam is conducted remotely. You can receive the certificate in electronic or paper form.

Pricing
The price of specialization for an individual candidate to obtain an individual title amounts to:
CIWE: EUR 250.00 (without VAT)
The price includes the costs of education, materials, exams and the issuance of an e-certificate. Issuance of a paper diploma is 15 EUR + postage.
Issuance of a seal is 65 EUR + postage.
