Non-Destructive Testing
We carry out non-destructive testing (NDT - Non Destructive Testing) with highly qualified personnel and modern and calibrated equipment. The staff is certified according to EN ISO 9712 and the PED directive, including holders of the highest level 3 for each NDT method. Some of the staff also hold EWT/EWE and IWIP-C diplomas. NDT investigations and tests are carried out in an accredited NDT laboratory in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025.
The client's requests are executed upon prior order and in accordance with technical standards or other regulations and specifications. The tests are carried out in the field, partly also in the internal laboratory.The current NDT laboratory has more than 60 years of testing experience:
- pressure equipment (pressure equipment, such as pressure vessels and pipelines of all types and materials, simple pressure vessels; fired pressure equipment, movable pressure equipment, gas pipelines, pharmaceutical, food and petrochemical industry);
- tanks for petroleum products or other media;
- steel structures (e.g. bridges, stadiums, cranes, building structures, piles);
- welded assemblies (e.g. thermal power plants and other energy plants, construction machinery, railway installations);
- other products and facilities.
We perform tests using the following NDT methods and their techniques:
- radiographic examination (RT),
- ultrasound examination (UT),
- examination with magnetic particles (MT),
- examination with liquid penetrants (PT),
- visual - direct and videoscopic examination (VT, RVI),
- leak testing with vacuum chambers (LT),
- ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTT),
- ultrasonic testing of sheet metal for delamination (UTL).
We have many years of experience with:
- control on plastic joints;
- by measuring the thickness of protective coatings (AKZ);
- by measuring the content of delta ferrite and control of the breakdown strength of tank insulation.
The requirements for quality and assessment of product conformity are increasing day by day, so it is necessary to detect defects in the material already in the early stages of production. Both for safety and ecological aspects, as well as for economic ones.
